They say it’s (abortion) not morally wrong, and, by the way, who are we to judge? Why is murder wrong because it’s not morally wrong? Is it because we have a number of votes here that bans murder? Is that the only reason? Is it because we have a majority here who believe murder is wrong? Not morally wrong, because we can’t make moral judgment here! Oh, God forbid we make a moral judgment on the floor of the United States Senate! Oh no, who am I to tell you that murder is wrong? I mean, how dare me! How can you tell me that murdering someone is wrong if it is not based on some moral judgment? So, please don’t come down here and say that I have no right to impose moral judgment—we do it every day here in the Senate, folks! How many speeches do I hear about an immoral to not be providing health-insurance? That is immoral, this isn’t. We can’t judge anybody here! We can’t say taking a child out of a mother, almost born, three inches from legal protection, and killing that baby in a barbaric fashion, we can’t say that’s wrong because that would be judging somebody else! But we can’t judge anybody here, who are we to judge anybody here! Welcome to America, 1999!

Rick Santorum Welcome to America, 2012! If there is anything you get from my blog, please get the fact that all law is based on moral judgments, and that you are able to judge because you have a brain. (via communismkills) |
