Yes.
I do not, and for many reasons. Teenage relationships do not last. At maximum, only about 7% of such relationships will continue into successful marriage. So, I wouldn’t bet on this relationship lasting a long time. Plus, in all my past relationships, all of which except one occurred during my non-Christian years, I was kind of terrible. So I haven’t much personal experience with a healthy, long-lasting relationship to take into this one with me. It’s relatively new.
At any rate, I don’t think the purpose of this relationship for either of us is for marriage or ‘something serious.’ We just enjoy each other’s presence and we’d like to try being a couple.
This does not mean that I am opposed to ‘something serious’ (the ultimate goal of any relationship is marriage and family making), and it does not mean that I think ‘something serious’ is ultimately impossible. It is entirely possible. Just not highly probable or even relevant.
