Boy, will these next 30 days be glorious, free from your powerful grip. Do not get me wrong, I very much enjoy getting on you and seeing all my followers and the blogs that I follow, but that is exactly why I must leave. Even the most Godly blog is held under the creeping discontentment that all such technology necessarily creates. Far too much of my time is spent here, in a virtual world, where, upon leaving it, I feel unreal, dark, and weak. I have been prompted out of need and by the example of some friends to do this. Though anxious, I am also excited. I have decided to unplug myself. For the next 30 days, I will not be watching TV, nor will I be getting on Tumblr, Facebook, or the internet at all. Further, I will not be texting either. As crazy as the modern world has made it seem, the only way to contact me will be through the telephone or in person.
While I am away, I challenge you to leave me a pile of extremely challenging, interesting, or uncommon questions. Or any questions at all! I hope you are blessed in all of your endeavors this month.
I’ll be seeing you real soon.
Sincerely,
Valley Malachi Scharping
